The Den of Inequity

These are pics of the hotel where I spent the long holiday weekend (April 30 - May 3). It was adequate, but I wouldn't go so far as to say comfortable. It was affordable, though.

The room! Twin beds, TV, and excellent curtains.

The television blocks out the small desk (I'm working there now) and the small refrigerator.

A better shot of the beds. That little set of drawers is missing a knob on the upper drawer -- makes it hard to open -- and the lock in the upper drawer is broken and easily pulls out.

The wardrobe where I have hung my clothes and over which I have stored my bag. Again, it is adequate.

There's the little desk. When I plug the computer in I cannot help but unplug the TV for some reason.

The bathroom is the worst part of the room. The drain in the floor doesn't. And the shower head sprays water very forcefully in every direction except where you want it to. And just to sweeten the deal, the faucet in the sink pours water so forcefully it shoots over the rim and across the room! Stand to the side please.

The view off of the small balcony! That's downtown HCMC, y'all!

The dizzying look down into the alleyway the hotel fronts onto.

A little further down the alleyway.

And that's toward the other end.

The little bench on the balcony and the handy hydrant where I wash my feet.

The pathetic little tree that sets out there. And that's it.
