Note: Jo wanted me to add that these gifts are post-birth (and post-web site) gifts. We received a lot of wonderful presents at Jo's baby shower (organized by Lisa and Pennie), as well as many many lovely gifts from our close friends (Emiko & the Suters) and families. We were very grateful for those wonderful gifts too.

The following items were given to Madeleine by our various friends around the world.  We can't express our appreciation enough for these gifts.  They make the experience all the more wonderful for us.  While this web site may make us seem organized and all, we're not.  The first few days are a blur, so I'm sure that we've forgotten someone and their wonderful gifts too.  As we realize it we will be adding them to this page, until then you have our apologies.

Jo's brother Pierre, who currently resides in Paris, sent these cute as pie pink jammies with the perfect inscription on the front. For all you non French folks, it says: 'Little Sleeping Princess'. Methinks this was a custom job!

Diane Hardy knitted this precious fuzzy hooded pink sweater.  It is even more adorable in person than in this photo.  It looks sure looks soft, but the picture doesn't do it justice.  Diane is a good friend of grand-maman Chauvin back home in Hearst.

Joanne Forgues and Rachel Veilleux gave these sweet turquoise things.  The dress and hat will be so cute on Madeleine.  She'll be the prettiest little girl in Busan! Joanne and Rachel are friends and co-workers of Micheline.  They sure can pick out baby clothes.

Madeleine's cousins, Gabrielle and Stephanie Ayers, picked out these things for her.  You've already met Bunnybear, who is the softest and sweetest bear in a bunny suit.  The shoes, though, are made of soft supple leather and are reputed to be very comfortable for baby feet.

Our little girl is a regular princess in this headband courtesy of Han Ji-hye our agent in Seoul.  Ji-hye was a student of Jo's and a good friend of Pierre's when he visited Busan a few years ago.  She even went to Hearst and stayed with grand-maman and grand-papa Chauvin in Hearst.  These headbands are de rigueur for baby girls in Korea and we sure are grateful to Ji-hye for making our Madeleine complete.

This Lamaze toy was given to us by Dana Hazzard our co-worker and Jo's ex-office mate.  It is a perfect gift for a baby and we can't wait to see Madeleine playing with it.

These things were given to us by Julie Suter another co-worker and another of Jo's ex-office mates.  Julie promises that when she is old enough to go on picnics Madeleine will love them.  The bear is soft and cuddly for a perfect little picnic friend.  She even thought to give Jo some lovely relaxing foaming bath stuff.

Julie also gave Madeleine this sweet little shirt, pants and t-shirt.  She's sure to be cool and comfortable all summer long in these!

Michelle, Patrick and Marieve gave Madeleine this beautiful cloudy kimono with matching bib and wrist rattle.  You remember them, they are our co-workers and Michelle just gave birth to Oliver on October 22.

Our vet for the dogs, Dr. Kim, and his wife came by today. Believe it or not, he makes house calls and was coming to give Jack his rabies shot. He and his wife took the opportunity to visit Madeleine and gave us this lovely outfit for her.

In addition to these things, Professor Emeritus Heo Man sent us a nice card, the girls in 101 gave us a nice card and Mr. and Mrs. Aaron, old friends of Jon's from San Antonio, gave us a thoughtful amount of money that will come in very handy.
